Rhythm for a Reason

Request for Proposal: We want to give you our Support.

Attention Not For Profits located in the Greater Albuquerque, NM area. Rhythm for a Reason (R4R), a local organization, of spirited and thoughtful folks, raises awareness and money for Not-for-profits and the worthy causes they support. R4R seeks a new organization to support from the events they have twice annually. R4R not only exists for the purpose of raising awareness and money for well run 501c3s but also for the purpose to raise awareness about the importance of philanthropy in young professionals living our community.

For 7 years, R4R has held bi-annual fundraisers. Each event, leverages the talents of local musical artists or musical artists of national renown to help create a fun and electric atmosphere. These music events are supported by corporate and local sponsors and funds are raised through guest donations. Each party draws 300 to 400+ guests. The impact of the attendance is felt by not only by the money given, but in the fact, each guest becomes aware of the fine works done by the featured 501c3. Ultimately new fans of the 501c3 are created and word spreads.

Past causes which have been supported are Project Share and Healthcare for the Homeless.

The support from these events will be for a period of 24 months. There will be a total of 4 events, the first of which will be in December of 2009. The first and last event of the 24 month cycle will be shared with current and then the next organization selected to benefit from the party.

In order to be considered, please provide information about your 501c3 such as but not limited to organization information, mission, values, history, areas or focus, and financial documentation. Priority is given to those 501c3 s, who have an excellent ratio of low overhead to total funding for the agency. Please provide information about how you feel that your mission will immediately be impacted by having a party thrown to create awareness for you and how the funds raised at these events will directly reach down to the roots of the people you serve.

Initial proposals should be limited to a 2 page write up describing your organization, the mission you serve and with supporting documentation that you are a 501c3 in good standing from the State of New Mexico. Finalist will be required to provide additional information, along with interviews and facility tour. Please provide complete contact information.
